Unfortunately, the cases in Malaysia kept on increasing every single day. To, ensure our safety and prevent the viruses from spreading and increasing the number of Covid, the government has stated that it is essential for everyone to stay home and only go out if it is necessary.
All non-essential company and business are also asking their staff to work from home, staying home for a really long time can cause a mental breakdown to us. We can get frustrated and we can feel suffocated after staying home 24/7. So, to help our mental well-being here are some activities that we can do while staying home.
- Cook new recipes
Maybe this is the time for us to try and cook the new recipes that we have been saving. Prepare a well-cooked, healthy meal for our family and they will really appreciate it. It doesn’t have to be a fancy meal, just cook something sincerely and filled with love.
- New book
If before this you keep giving reasons to not read that book, well this is the perfect time for you to read that book. Whatever it is about you should definitely read it. Reading a book can help you to kill time and it is also a good activity for your brain.
Journaling is a good habit to develop for our emotions and during this time we have a lot of unspoken emotions. So, write it down and journal all of your feelings and emotions. You can do your journaling on your laptops or your notebook. Spend at least 15 minutes a day writing down everything that you are feeling. This will help you to channel your emotions healthily.
- Learn a new skill
This is the time for you to enroll in that online class and learn new skills that will be beneficial for you. Whether it is editing, learning a new language, or new skills like coding. You don’t have to be a professional at it maybe just learn something basic that you can use in your everyday life. Who knows, maybe you can generate a side income with these new skills that you just learn.
- Fix your sleeping schedule
If before this you would go to sleep right after 12 am, this is the time for you to fix your sleeping schedule. Having the right sleeping schedule is important for our health and just because we are staying home doesn’t mean we can sleep whenever we like. Make sure that we get 8 hours of sleep and do not binge-watching Youtube or Netflix instead.
- Decorate your home
